Noun [Luxembourgish]

IPA: [dʀiːɕt] Forms: Driichten [plural]
Etymology: From Middle High German *dricht (attested in 1543), Central Franconian form of trift, from Proto-Germanic *driftiz. Doublet of Draft, Drëft (“rapid of a river”), which continues the variant drift without the development ft > cht.
